Polygon is the Fox News of video games. But they are part financed by Microsoft.
Almost every article is a defence or promotional article.
It is obvious that there is an unseen editorial influence. Every other website when reporting the XB one Tomb Raider exclusive deal made some comment about it and the fairness of it. But when Polygon's Brian Crecente wrote about it he said nothing.
When Microsoft said Tomb Raider would only be exclusive in "Holiday 2015" I knew it would be timed.
Game trailers host Geoff Keighley then tweeted that it would be timed but Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg then tried to refute this!

What do you mean respect to Phil Spencer? He is the architect of this stupid deal. He is the man who wants to buy Xbone success, not earn it.
Phil Spencer had to admit it was timed because he could hear the backlash getting bigger and the anti-Xbox resentment growing.
It's not just SquareEnix/Crystal Dynamics that will be affected by this, Phil Spencer and Microsoft's reputation will be tarnished by this deal.

He makes the biggest anti-gamer move by using Bill Gates money to take multi platform games of the table then trolls Sony with his fake congratulations. Same old Microsoft.

I understand that Microsoft want to promote the, so-far, mythical benefits of their Cloud technology but Insomniac saying it helps match-making seems like they are really scraping the barrel.
Drivatars and matchmaking is all well and good but until MS can demonstrate significant benefits to games that are impossible on other formats, then all this talk of cloud and Azure technology becomes nothing more than PR spiel.

Sunset Overdrive does look like a lot of fun but it's pre-Christmas release date means it will be competing with a lot of other titles for gamers' attention and spending money. And as a new IP that makes it harder to compete with established franchises.

So the entries are not based on merit but on which publishers paid money to have their games submitted. This is wrong.
Odd that some major titles that are being released this year are not on the list. It is good that this is brought to people's attention - this should be examined by the community in more detail...
Oculus Rift has a superior spec with an abundance of in-development software, but is currently targeting the PC enthusiasts market.
Project Morpheus strength will come from Sony designing it to be a more mass market machine, motion controller compatible, comfortable and easy to use without requiring drivers.
I suspect the voters will lean towards the Oculus Rift.
For me I'd say
1) GameCube. So well contoured it fits perfectly in the hands. Light as well. Near perfect.
2) 360 pad. A good iteration of the GameCube pad. Great with so many FPS games.
3) Dualshock 4. Such a great improvement over DS3. Bigger, much more comfortable. This is growing to be my current favourite.
The XBone controller is not in my top 3. It's not bad it's just that the 360 pad was so great but Micros...
@biggerBoss. Spencer initially denied it when he spoke to CVG, it's only because he didn't want to risk his reputation as the nicest most loved guy in the gaming industry.
